Marvel Gold Commences Maiden RC Drilling Program at Hanang Gold Project in Tanzania
Marvel Gold Limited (ASX: MVL) has commenced Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling at its 100%-owned Hanang Gold Project in Tanzania, marking a major operational milestone as the Company advances exploration across the highly prospective Iramba-Sekenke Greenstone Belt. The Phase One drilling campaign comprises approximately 5,000 metres and represents the first modern drill testing of several high-priority structural and geophysical targets concealed beneath surface cover.
Initial drilling activities will focus on the Winston Extension prospect before progressing to the Sophia Prospect, with both targets supported by encouraging geological, geochemical and magnetic survey signatures identified through recent field programs and drone magnetic surveys. Management noted that the Hanang Project is strategically positioned along the eastern margin of the Lake Victoria Goldfield, which hosts more than 70 million ounces of historical gold endowment.
The RC drilling program is expected to continue over approximately 60 days, subject to operational conditions and exploration results. Samples will be analysed using PhotonAssay™ technology in Tanzania to accelerate assay turnaround times and improve exploration decision-making efficiency during the campaign. Results from the initial drilling phase will guide follow-up drilling and broader target prioritisation across the Hanang Project tenure.
