The Environmental Group Limited (ASX: EGL) announced that its subsidiary, EGL Baltec, has secured an AU$9.3 million contract to supply two Gas Turbine Diverter Bypass Exhaust Systems for the 800MW Manzanillo Energy Consortium Power Plant in the Dominican Republic. The project, awarded by Spanish EPC TSK, will run over the next 12 months, with delivery scheduled for September 2026.
The systems will support the plant’s flexibility by enabling peaking mode operations and integrating EGL’s advanced silencer design, which meets strict noise limits while maintaining turbine performance. Gas turbines are crucial in balancing renewable energy by handling peak loads, and EGL’s technology addresses the thermal and structural demands of frequent cycling. This win adds to EGL Baltec’s portfolio of AU$19.7 million in contracts for the year, reinforcing its strong position for the current and next financial year. The deal highlights EGL’s growing role in supporting renewable and sustainable energy infrastructure
