Evion Advances Maniry Graphite Mine with Strong Community Backing and Approvals in Sight.

Evion Group NL (ASX: EVG) has reached a major milestone in the development of the Maniry Graphite Mine, securing formal agreements with over 100 local families as part of its comprehensive Community Development Plan (CDP). These agreements highlight the community's strong support for the project and pave the way for the final submission of Evion’s CDP and Environmental Plan (EIE) to Madagascar’s environmental authority (ONE). Site inspections are scheduled within the next 60 days, with regulatory endorsement expected shortly thereafter. The CDP includes commitments to provide employment for 400–500 local residents, build essential infrastructure such as schools, medical facilities, and water wells, and offer relocation options for affected families.

Simultaneously, Evion is engaging with Madagascar’s Ministry of Mines to renew exploration permits and convert them into full mining licences, advancing the project into the development phase. The ongoing Indian Ocean Commission Summit, hosted in Madagascar, presents additional opportunities for strategic partnerships, particularly with European stakeholders. These developments, alongside continued government and community collaboration, reinforce Evion’s readiness to begin mine construction in the near term.
