Godolphin Resources Limited (ASX: GRL) has reported a significant improvement in gold recovery at its Lewis Ponds Project, driven by the identification of a gravity-recoverable gold component. Metallurgical testwork indicates that integrating a gravity circuit ahead of flotation has increased total gold recovery by 21%, taking recovery levels to approximately 83% for the semi-massive ore domain.
The results highlight the presence of coarse gold, with around 30–33% of total gold contained in the coarse fraction, supporting efficient gravity separation. High-grade gravity concentrates of up to 51.3 g/t gold and recovery of up to 65% of total gold further validate the processing enhancement. These findings strengthen the existing scoping study, which outlines a 12-year mine life with strong economic metrics, including substantial pre-tax cash flows and robust returns. Looking ahead, the company intends to advance further drilling activities to expand the resource base and optimise project development.
