Hastings Expands into Gold with Whiteheads Project Acquisition

Hastings Technology Metals Ltd (ASX: HAS) has signed a conditional binding agreement to acquire Great Western Gold Pty Ltd (GWG), which holds an option to purchase Great Boulder Resources Limited’s (ASX: GBR) 75% stake in the Whiteheads Gold Project in Western Australia. This deal will also grant Hastings full ownership of adjacent tenements outside the joint venture. The 380 sq km tenement package lies 80km northeast of Kalgoorlie and includes 14 licences. Hastings plans to begin systematic exploration, aiming to establish a Maiden JORC Resource by Q4 2025. The acquisition, which supports Hastings' strategic move into gold alongside rare earths and niobium, comes at an upfront cost of $370,000 in cash and 3 million HAS shares, with up to $800,000 in deferred HAS share payments based on gold resource milestones. Drill-ready targets include Blue Poles, Seven Leaders, and Lady Betty.
