INOVIQ Strengthens Cancer Pipeline While Refining EXO-OC Development Strategy
INOVIQ Limited (ASX: IIQ) provided an operational update highlighting continued progress in its cancer diagnostics and therapeutics pipeline, despite delays in its expanded EXO-OC clinical validation study. The trial was interrupted after internationally sourced biobank samples failed to meet required quality standards, prompting the company to redesign future validation using alternative clinical sample sources and strategic laboratory collaborations. Analysis of an existing 500-patient dataset further enhanced the EXO-OC algorithm, delivering 92.3% sensitivity for early-stage ovarian cancer, 92.5% sensitivity across all disease stages, and 98% specificity against healthy and benign cases. Meanwhile, the company's CAR-exosome therapy achieved encouraging laboratory results by destroying up to 90% of ovarian cancer cells within 48 hours. INOVIQ is also advancing manufacturing capabilities through GMP cell sourcing and production optimisation. The company closed the June quarter with AU$9.35 million in cash, providing financial flexibility to support ongoing research, development, and commercialisation activities.
