Karoon Energy Appoints New Managing Director and CEO

Karoon Energy Ltd (ASX: KAR) has named Ms Carri Lockhart as its incoming Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, with her tenure commencing on 3 November 2025. The appointment follows the resignation of Dr Julian Fowles and marks a strategic leadership transition as the company assumes operatorship of the Baúna FPSO in Brazil and advances growth projects across Brazil and the United States. Ms Carri Lockhart possesses more than three decades of international experience in the energy industry, having served in key leadership positions at Equinor ASA and Marathon Oil. Her expertise spans strategic development, operational excellence, and corporate governance. Chairman Peter Botten described her as the ideal leader to drive Karoon’s next phase of growth, citing her strong technical background and leadership record.
