Litchfield Minerals Advances Exploration with Ground Geophysical Program
Litchfield Minerals Limited (ASX: LMS) is progressing its exploration strategy with three ground geophysical surveys scheduled to commence in early July 2026 across its Northern Territory projects at Oonagalabi and Silver Valley. This marks the first field-based validation of the company’s BHP Xplor–derived belt-scale mineral systems framework. The combined magnetotelluric (MT) and gravity survey at Oonagalabi will investigate a 2.5km-deep conductivity anomaly, supported by up to A$100,000 co-funding from the Northern Territory Geological Survey. The program is designed to refine subsurface geology, reduce exploration uncertainty, and improve targeting ahead of future drilling. Acquisition is expected to run for 30–40 days with parallel data processing.
At Silver Valley, an induced polarisation (IP) survey will target extensions to known high-grade silver, lead and copper mineralisation, following rock chip results of up to 378g/t Ag and 44.9% Pb. Results from the IP program are expected by late July 2026, while MT survey outcomes are anticipated in Q3 2026 to further guide drill targeting. Overall, the integrated program strengthens Litchfield’s data-driven exploration approach and supports prioritisation of high-potential targets across its project portfolio.
