X2M Strengthens Leadership to Accelerate Smart Cities and AI Expansion
X2M Connect Limited (ASX:X2M) has announced two senior appointments aimed at accelerating growth across smart communities, data centres and AI-enabled infrastructure. Kate O’Sullivan joins the Board as a Non-Executive Director, while Dr Sajjad Ahmed has been appointed General Manager, Data Centres and Smart Cities. The appointments are intended to strengthen governance, commercial capability and technical execution as the company advances its Australian expansion strategy.
Kate O’Sullivan brings three decades of leadership experience across ASX-listed companies and board roles, including senior positions at Tabcorp Holdings, where she managed sales, distribution and P&L responsibility in the gaming division. Dr Sajjad Ahmed contributes 22 years of expertise in utilities, IoT and smart infrastructure, having previously led Optus’ national Smart Cities and Utilities programs, including a $27 million advanced metering project. His academic background in AI and emerging technologies supports X2M’s digital infrastructure ambitions, including partnerships in data centres and smart community developments.
