NoviqTech (ASX: NVQ) and Livium (ASX: LIT) have partnered to advance sustainable battery recycling by tokenising environmental benefits via NoviqTech’s Carbon Central platform. This initiative leverages Livium’s ability to recover critical minerals like lithium, nickel, and cobalt, reducing reliance on new extraction and lowering carbon emissions. NoviqTech’s Digital Twin technology digitally replicates Livium’s operations to track real-time data, enabling transparent carbon accounting and compliance with global battery traceability and emissions regulations. Using Hedera’s distributed ledger, the platform issues verifiable digital certificates for environmental outcomes. Livium, which plans to scale nationally with support from a WA government grant, will pay a monthly subscription fee, with per-token charges applied later. This collaboration supports circular economy goals and prepares both firms for the emerging regulatory landscape. It also aligns Livium’s ESG objectives with digital innovation to create commercial value while driving global sustainability efforts
