Perpetual Resources Ltd (ASX: PEC) has reported the discovery of a broad lithium-in-soil anomaly at its Igrejinha Project in Brazil's renowned Lithium Valley, alongside identifying a new South East (SE) Anomaly. The results stem from a 220-sample geochemical program to refine targets ahead of the upcoming 1,500m reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign in early June.
Soil sampling revealed lithium concentrations up to 577 ppm Li₂O, with caesium and tungsten also present at 168 ppm Cs and 1,029 ppm W, respectively. These results build on previous rock chip samples showing grades exceeding 7% Li₂O and 5.3% Cs₂O, significantly expanding the interpreted LCT pegmatite corridor to over 1.4 km. The newly defined SE Anomaly, located 2.3 km southeast of the central pegmatite zone, further supports the project's regional upside and validates the exploration model. Site preparations for drilling are well underway.
