Red Mountain Mining Launches Exploration at Fry Lake Project

Red Mountain Mining Ltd (ASX: RMX) has initiated its 2025 exploration campaign at the 100%-owned Fry Lake Gold-Copper Project in Ontario, Canada. This effort targets high-grade gold and copper anomalies, particularly in the Flicka Lake claim, where previous sampling returned up to 24.2g/t gold and 2420ppm copper. The program includes channel sampling of three historically mineralized quartz veins and soil grids across four high-priority zones identified in 2024. Partnering with Fladgate, which is compensated partly through equity, the exploration is strategically structured to minimize cash outlay.

Additionally, RMX has applied for Ontario’s Junior Exploration Program (OJEP) grant, potentially covering 50% of costs. The project lies within the prolific Meen-Dempster Greenstone Belt, known for its orogenic gold deposits. With limited past exploration, the Fry Lake area holds significant untapped potential, supported by strong geological indicators including gabbroic-hosted quartz veins and polymetallic mineralisation.
