Whitebark Advances Alinya Project with Cultural Survey, Soil Program Set for August

Whitebark Energy Limited (ASX: WBE) has completed a key cultural heritage survey at its flagship Alinya Project in the Officer Basin, paving the way for a soil geochemistry program scheduled to begin mid-August. The survey focused on the Rickerscote prospect, which spans over 180 km² and is one of Australia’s largest undrilled, sub-salt onshore structures. The upcoming soil testing will evaluate the potential for hydrogen, helium, and hydrocarbon generation and support planning for future drilling. The program is expected to last 30 days and will provide critical data for optimising the first exploration well. Whitebark’s broader strategy includes exploring natural hydrogen and geothermal power to complement its conventional energy assets. The successful execution of this work could position the Alinya Project as a key contributor to Australia's emerging clean energy supply and strengthen Whitebark’s presence in the energy transition space.
