Highlights:

  • Funding Secured: Vertex Minerals Limited (ASX: VTX) has raised AU$9 million through convertible loan facilities to support growth initiatives.
  • Dual Tranche Structure: AU$6 million has been received immediately, with an additional AU$3 million expected by late April 2026.
  • Production Focus: Funds will be directed toward advancing underground gold production at the Reward Gold Mine in New South Wales.

Funding Boost Supports Growth Strategy

Vertex Minerals Limited (ASX: VTX) has attracted investor attention after securing fresh capital to support its development plans. The company’s shares were trading at AU$0.160, reflecting a rise of nearly 14.29% at the time of writing. The newly announced AU$9 million funding package provides financial backing as the company progresses toward increased gold production.

Structured Capital Raising Enhances Financial Flexibility

The funding has been arranged through convertible loan facilities with sophisticated and professional investors. The structure includes two tranches, with AU$6 million already settled and the remaining AU$3 million expected to be finalised around the end of April 2026.

These loans carry an annual interest component and may be converted into equity at a price linked to market levels, subject to shareholder approval. This flexible structure allows for either conversion into shares or repayment in cash depending on approvals and timing.

Focus on Reward Gold Mine Development

The capital raised is expected to be allocated toward working capital and advancing operations at the company’s flagship Reward Gold Mine in Hill End, New South Wales. The project is currently progressing through underground development, alongside ongoing gold processing activities using a gravity plant.

The Reward Gold Mine hosts a total resource of approximately 225,200 ounces at an average grade of 16.72 g/t, indicating strong resource quality and supporting its development potential.

Market Outlook and Operational Progress

The successful capital raise reflects continued investor backing as Vertex moves closer to sustained production. With development activities advancing and funding secured, the company is positioned to scale operations and potentially strengthen its production profile.

This progress aligns with broader industry trends, where gold developers are prioritising high-grade assets to benefit from supportive commodity pricing conditions.
