Aurelia Enhances Financial Position with New AU$150 Million Funding Arrangement
Aurelia Metals Limited (ASX: AMI) has finalised a new AU$150 million financing package designed to improve liquidity and support the company’s long-term operational strategy. The funding arrangement includes a AU$40 million revolving credit facility and AU$110 million in rehabilitation bonding facilities backed by a group of major financial institutions, including Citi, HSBC and Credeq acting for Swiss Re. The new facilities replace existing funding arrangements and are expected to free up approximately AU$46 million in previously restricted cash, providing greater financial flexibility. The package also offers favourable terms, including the absence of mandatory hedging obligations, no amortisation requirements during the facility terms, and maturities extending up to five years. According to the company, the refinancing process attracted strong lender interest, enabling the negotiation of a competitive and flexible structure. The new facilities are expected to reinforce Aurelia’s balance sheet, enhance available capital, and support future growth and rehabilitation obligations across its mining operations.
