Bass Oil Limited Prepares to Drill Bunian 6 Well in South Sumatra

Bass Oil Limited (ASX:BAS) is preparing to commence drilling at the Bunian 6 well site in the South Sumatra Basin, Indonesia, with operations expected to begin in May 2026. This new development well is set to increase oil production from the Tangai-Sukananti KSO, boosting output from 250 barrels of oil per day (bopd) to 750 bopd. The project is expected to recover over 150,000 barrels of oil. Bunian 6 will target the primary TRM3 sandstone reservoir and assess the potential of the secondary K reservoir, which has previously shown oil production in other wells.

Bass holds a 55% operated interest in the permit, with drilling costs recoverable from existing production. The well has an 80% chance of success and is anticipated to make a significant contribution to reserves and oil recovery in the field.
