Hawk Intersects High-Grade Near-Surface Copper at Cactus Corridor-What Does It Mean for Growth?

Hawk Resources Limited (ASX: HWK) has reported encouraging early drilling results from its Cactus Copper-Gold Project in Utah, highlighting near-surface, high-grade copper mineralisation across the Cactus Corridor. The Company intersected visible chalcopyrite mineralisation in two drill holes, with spot pXRF readings reaching up to 37.3% copper in DD26CT003 and 35.2% copper in DD26CT004, indicating strong grade potential. Mineralisation extends over broad zones, with estimated true widths of up to 38m and 25m respectively, suggesting scale potential. The drilling program is targeting shallow mineralisation not systematically explored since the 1960s, with early results supporting historical high-grade zones. While Copperopolis drilling returned limited copper, the focus remains on delineating the Cactus Corridor, where ongoing drilling aims to define mineralisation from surface to ~50m depth. Laboratory assays are pending to confirm grades and provide additional insights into gold and silver by-products, which were historically significant.
