Element 25 Advances Butcherbird Expansion With Engineering, Funding and Key Equipment Secured
Element 25 Limited (ASX: E25) has reported strong progress on the Butcherbird Expansion Project (BBX), which aims to lift production to 1.1 million tonnes per year of manganese concentrate. Engineering firm Altris Engineering has commenced detailed design under an Integrated Project Team model, and early improvement studies are already identifying cost and execution benefits. The company has also advanced its mining services tender, secured mineral sizers from MMD, and procured a 600-tonne-per-hour logwasher from KISA, now ready for transport.
Funding momentum continues, with E25 completing a AU$10 million placement and securing a AU$50 million senior debt facility from NAIF, while additional term sheets remain under negotiation. Updated Resource and Reserve estimates support an 18-year life-of-mine, and permitting is fully approved under the Western Australian regulatory framework. Increased concentrate output from BBX will supply both traditional steel markets and E25’s planned HPMSM battery-materials refinery in Louisiana.
