Pure Foods Tasmania Limited Completes Elato Ice Cream Acquisition
Pure Foods Tasmania Limited (ASX: PFT) has completed the acquisition of premium ice cream brand Elato, marking a significant expansion into both dairy and plant-based frozen desserts. The transaction includes all intellectual property, recipes, brand assets, and supply arrangements, with an initial AU$50,000 paid in PFT shares and additional performance-based earn-outs of up to 4 million shares. Founder Roz Kaldor-Aroni has been appointed General Manager – Ice Cream Division, overseeing the integration of Elato with The Cashew Creamery to create a multi-brand platform.
Elato currently generates more than AU$600,000 in annualised revenue through distribution across cinemas and over 400 supermarkets, including Woolworths. The acquisition enhances utilisation of Pure Foods Tasmania Limited’s AU$1.2 million ice-cream manufacturing assets, drives operational efficiencies, and broadens category reach. Additionally, the Aroni Family Trust will invest AU$200,000 in the Company, strengthening alignment and supporting growth initiatives across the newly established Ice Cream Division.
