Encounter Resources Limited (ASX: ENR) has uncovered extensive rare earth element (REE) mineralisation across the West Arunta carbonatite complexes. Drilling at the Green prospect confirmed the presence of REE-bearing minerals such as bastnaesite, synchysite, and parasite, showcasing the district’s growing potential. Additionally, early-stage aircore drilling at the Juan prospect intersected 6m at 0.9% TREO, extending known mineralised zones by over 10km. Multiple prospects, including Crean and Green, reported high-grade intervals reaching up to 6.3% TREO.

The Aileron Project’s 19.2Mt resource also hosts impressive dysprosium and terbium grades, aligning with other leading Australian REE developments. These consistent intersections highlight West Arunta as an emerging hub for rare earth and niobium exploration, comparable to globally significant deposits like Mt Weld and Araxá, positioning Encounter as a frontrunner in Australia’s next critical minerals province.
