Falcon Metals Limited (ASX: FAL) has commenced diamond drilling at the Blue Moon gold target within exploration licence EL007839, located just north of the prolific ~22Moz Bendigo Goldfield in Victoria. The program targets the untested northern down-plunge extension of the Garden Gully anticline, historically the most productive trend in the goldfield with a yield of approximately 5.2Moz at 15g/t Au. An initial stratigraphic hole is planned to reach 850m, with potential for further drilling, including wedge holes, depending on geological findings.
The drilling is expected to take about six weeks, with initial assay results anticipated in August 2025. The company has secured all required approvals, including from the Dja Dja Wurrung Traditional Owners, and contracted Deepcore Drilling to undertake the work using a sound-reducing acoustic shed. With AU$8.3 million in cash as of March 31, 2025, Falcon remains well-funded to progress its high-impact gold exploration strategy.
