IRIS Metals Strengthens Leadership to Drive Critical Minerals Growth
IRIS Metals Limited (ASX: IR1) has announced leadership changes aimed at supporting its next phase of growth and strengthening its North American critical minerals strategy. On 11 August 2026, former Winsome Resources Executive Director Simon Iacopetta was appointed Strategic Advisor to the Board, bringing more than two decades of experience across resources, capital markets and corporate development.
At the same time, Chris Evans has moved from Non-Executive Chairman to Executive Chairman, taking a more active role in guiding the Company’s growth strategy and assessing opportunities to broaden its critical minerals portfolio. Iacopetta will support corporate strategy, capital markets, business development and strategic opportunities. IRIS Metals is advancing tungsten, lithium and rubidium projects across Montana and South Dakota, with a focus on building a diversified North American critical minerals portfolio.
