Jervois Global Advances Financing for Idaho Cobalt Project

Jervois Global Limited (ASX: JBY) announced that at the time of writing it is progressing funding initiatives to restart construction at its Idaho Cobalt Operations (ICO) in the United States. The company is in discussions with potential strategic investors, lenders, and government agencies to secure the capital required to complete the project.

The ICO, located in Idaho’s Salmon region, is the only permitted cobalt mine in the U.S. and is expected to produce high-quality cobalt for the battery and defense industries. Jervois paused construction in 2023 due to challenging market conditions but has since advanced engineering, permitting, and site readiness activities. With cobalt classified as a critical mineral, Jervois aims to position ICO as a key domestic supplier in the U.S. supply chain. The company expects financing outcomes to be finalised in 2026, supporting future production and long-term growth.
