Kalina Power Secures CAD18 million from Canadian Asset Sale

Kalina Power Limited (ASX: KPO) announced that at the time of writing, its wholly owned subsidiary Kalina Distributed Power (KDP) has completed the transfer and sale of its allocated megawatts under the Alberta Electricity System Operator (AESO) framework in Canada. The sale follows the execution of a final Demand Transmission Services Agreement (DTS), fulfilling all conditions for closure.

Under the transfer agreement, KDP received a CAD1 million non-refundable deposit in June 2025 and is now entitled to a CAD17 million payment, due within 15 days. The deal represents a one-off transaction with a global data centre developer and does not create any ongoing relationship.

KDP’s Alberta portfolio includes five behind-the-meter natural gas power projects with future carbon capture integration potential and total capacity of up to 1.7 GW, targeting data centre energy supply needs.
