Kinetiko Signs Joint Development Agreement with FFS Refiners to Advance Gas Field Development.

Kinetiko Energy Ltd (ASX: KKO) has signed a binding Joint Development Agreement with FFS Refiners (Pty) Ltd and its subsidiary Afro Energy (Pty) Ltd to initiate Phase 1a of Project Alpha at Brakfontein, South Africa. The agreement outlines the co-development of a pilot gas plant for LNG production, with joint funding commitments of approximately R64.3 million (AU$5.68 million). Key initiatives include drilling five new production wells, upgrading existing wells, conducting gas testing, and preparing an LNG business case.

The collaboration also involves a co-funded production right application and the formation of a JDA Steering Committee to oversee development. This marks the first step toward scaling up LNG output to 125,000 tonnes per annum over multiple phases, supporting South Africa’s growing demand for cleaner energy and positioning Kinetiko as a key player in the region’s transition to sustainable fuel solutions.
