L1 Global Long Short Fund Limited Reports Strong Half-Year Performance and Strategic Reset
L1 Global Long Short Fund Limited (ASX: GLS) delivered a strong financial and operational performance for the half-year ended 31 December 2025, reporting profit after tax of AU$57.5 million, a substantial increase compared to the prior corresponding period. The Company achieved a pre-tax NTA return of 9.2%, outperforming the MSCI All Country World Net Index return of 8.7% in AU$ terms. Net tangible assets per share rose from AU$1.5151 to AU$1.6540 over the period, inclusive of dividends paid.
During the half-year, the Company completed its transition to L1 Capital Pty Ltd as investment manager and implemented a geographically unconstrained global long short investment strategy. Capital management initiatives included a significant on-market share buy-back and a pro-rata entitlement offer alongside a placement to strengthen the balance sheet. The Board approved a fully franked interim dividend of 1 cent per share, underscoring its ongoing focus on providing consistent and sustainable value to shareholders.
