Dr Whitehead brings over 15 years of experience across ASX-listed and private resource companies, with operational exposure to iron ore, gold, and critical minerals. His executive background includes oversight of commercial strategy, governance structures, joint venture management, capital allocation support, and stakeholder engagement across large-scale resource development initiatives. He earned a doctorate in International Business, holds a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance and Investment, and has also completed the Company Directors Course offered by the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Concurrently, the company confirmed the resignation of Managing Director Mr Paul Burton, effective 20 February. This transition represents a structured leadership realignment aimed at reinforcing executive depth and positioning Surefire to advance its strategic and operational objectives within the resources sector.
