Maronan Metals Strengthens Maronan Project with New High-Grade Silver-Lead Results
Maronan Metals Limited (ASX: MMA) has announced fresh drilling results from its Maronan Project in northwest Queensland, highlighting additional shallow, high-grade silver-lead mineralisation north of the Starter Zone. The latest discoveries are located close to the planned exploration decline and support the company's objective of advancing the project through prefeasibility studies. Among the standout intersections were 7.3 metres grading 11.0% lead and 89g/t silver, including 4.3 metres at 15.8% lead and 118g/t silver, while another hole returned 14.2 metres at 3.5% lead and 40g/t silver. These results indicate the potential to expand the mineralised footprint in an area targeted for future development.
Exploration activity continues to accelerate, with more than 7,000 metres of drilling completed using two rigs and a third rig scheduled to begin work shortly. The broader drilling campaign is designed to improve resource confidence and provide data for ongoing prefeasibility work. Although a small number of holes encountered geological complexities that limited testing, the program continues to deliver encouraging outcomes. Further drilling and assay results are expected over the coming months as Maronan advances evaluation of the project's silver-lead and copper-gold mineral systems.
