Nelson Resources Limited Advances Gold Point with Metallurgical Testing and High-Grade Sampling
Nelson Resources Limited (ASX: NES) has advanced exploration at its Gold Point Project in Nevada by commencing metallurgical testing on material from the historic Orleans Mine while completing underground rehabilitation to support the next phase of drilling. Four composite samples have been submitted for metallurgical assessment to evaluate both high-grade vein material and lower-grade remnant mineralisation using conventional processing methods. The company has also finalised underground drill platforms and is preparing to begin a follow-up program of up to 15 diamond drill holes targeting extensions of the Orleans vein beyond existing mine workings.
Recent underground sampling has continued to confirm strong gold-silver potential, with assays including up to 7.27 g/t gold and 215 g/t silver, reinforcing confidence in the continuity of mineralisation around historic stopes. Earlier results from the project returned grades of 77.9 g/t gold and 46.1 g/t silver over one metre, highlighting the quality of the system. Nelson intends to integrate metallurgical outcomes, drilling data and geological modelling to refine future exploration targets across both the Orleans Mine and the broader Gold Point Project.
