NewPeak Metals Secures AU$3.5 Million to Fast-Track Las Opeñas Gold Project in Argentina
NewPeak Metals Limited (ASX: NPM) has secured firm commitments for an AU$3.5 million capital raise, issuing roughly 269.2 million new shares at $0.013 apiece to a mix of new and existing sophisticated investors. Demand comfortably exceeded the target amount. Of this total, AU$3.35 million comes from institutional and professional backers, while directors and management will contribute a further AU$0.15 million, pending shareholder sign-off at an extraordinary general meeting planned for late August 2026. The capital will fund completion of the current drilling campaign at the wholly owned Las Opeñas Project, support a maiden resource estimate, and finance geochemical and geophysical follow-up work. The raise follows an encouraging discovery intersection at hole 26-LODH-023, pointing to a potentially large gold, zinc and silver mineral system. Results from five additional holes, covering roughly 1,800 metres, are anticipated within three to five weeks. Managing Director Mark Purcell described the strong investor support as confirmation of confidence in the company's exploration direction.
