Megaport Raises AU$200 Million to Accelerate Global Expansion

Megaport Limited (ASX: MP1) has successfully completed a fully underwritten AU$200 million institutional placement to fund its acquisition of Latitude and expedite its network expansion in India. The company will issue approximately 14 million new shares at AU$14.30 each, representing a 6.5% discount to its last close price. The offering drew significant interest from both current shareholders and incoming institutional investors. CEO Michael Reid stated that the acquisition and network growth strengthen Megaport’s position in enabling connectivity for hybrid cloud and AI-driven workloads. Megaport is launching a non-underwritten Share Purchase Plan (SPP) for eligible investors in Australia and New Zealand, targeting up to AU$20 million in proceeds to fund general corporate purposes.
