Strata Minerals Limited (ASX: SMX) has strengthened its position in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields through the acquisition of a strategic tenement adjacent to its fully owned Zelica Gold Project, extending the interpreted gold-mineralised corridor to approximately 9.5km. This expansion supports the development of a potentially continuous, district-scale gold system, with geological continuity indicating extensions of known mineralised structures.
The Company has also completed its Phase 2 RC drilling program, comprising 17 holes over 2,209 metres, targeting both depth and strike extensions of the existing high-grade zone, with assay results expected shortly. Previous drilling demonstrated strong mineralisation continuity, with 22 out of 23 holes intersecting shallow high-grade gold. Importantly, the project’s proximity to established infrastructure and multiple processing facilities enhances its development appeal, supporting a relatively low-capex pathway as Strata progresses toward a maiden Mineral Resource estimate.
