Toubani Approves Final Investment Decision for Kobada Gold Project
Toubani Resources Limited (ASX: TRE) has approved a Final Investment Decision for the Kobada Gold Project, marking a major step toward mine development. Following the decision, construction activities have commenced with contractors mobilised and the project development team now operating on site.
The milestone follows completion of several key approvals, including an investment protocol with the Government of Mali and the receipt of environmental, resettlement, and infrastructure permits. Documentation for the broader project financing package is also nearing completion.
To date, more than 36% of the project’s capital expenditure has been committed, reflecting strong development progress. Toubani is targeting first gold production in the third quarter of calendar year 2027 as the project moves into its construction phase.
