Viking Identifies New Targets at Linka and De-Risks Upcoming Drilling Program
Viking Mines Limited (ASX: VKA) has reported encouraging outcomes from its gravity survey at the Linka Project, significantly enhancing targeting confidence ahead of its maiden drilling campaign. The survey results demonstrate a strong correlation between gravity anomalies and known mineralization, validating the use of gravity data as an effective exploration tool across the project. Importantly, multiple new high-priority gravity anomalies have been identified, expanding the overall drill target inventory and highlighting potential for additional discoveries. Several concealed targets located beneath volcanic cover have also been delineated, reducing geological uncertainty and supporting a more focused drilling strategy. The Company is advancing preparations for drilling during the June quarter, with regulatory submissions expected shortly. Field activities, including further target assessment and sampling of historical tailings to evaluate grade and volume potential, are scheduled to commence in April. These developments position the Linka Project for systematic exploration progress.
