Western Yilgarn NL Strengthens Gold Exploration Footprint in Prospective Glenburgh District
Western Yilgarn NL (ASX: WYX) has secured three key Exploration Licences across its wholly owned Gascoyne Gold Project in Western Australia, marking a significant step in advancing its gold exploration strategy. The licences cover approximately 201 km² in a highly prospective region adjacent to the Glenburgh Gold Project, which hosts substantial gold mineralisation. Geological similarities, including shared lithology within the Dalgaringa Supersuite and alignment along major structural corridors, reinforce the project’s potential to host comparable mineralisation.
Geophysical studies have identified multiple high-priority drill targets, supported by magnetic and structural trends analogous to known deposits in the region. Seven target zones have been delineated based on shear zones, magnetic anomalies, and potassium signatures, indicating strong exploration prospects. The project remains at an early stage with no drilling completed, but its proximity to established gold systems and favourable geological setting positions it as a compelling district-scale opportunity.
