By the end of the trading session on 13 May 2025, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed higher by 0.43% and settled at 8,269.00. Out of the 11 sectors, 06 sectors ended higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Energy and Information Technology are the top-gaining sector, gaining 3.23% and 3.09% in their index value. On the other hand, Consumer Staples and A-REIT are the top-losing sector, losing 2.82% and 1.91% in their index value.

Polynovo Limited (ASX: PNV) and Clarity Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: CU6) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 15.315% and 14.383% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Genesis Minerals Limited (ASX: GMD) and Capricorn Metals Limited (ASX: CMM) are the top-losing stocks, losing 10.706% and 9.767% in their stock prices.
