ASX/200 Closer Higher by 0.60%, Lifted by Consumer Staples

By the end of the trading session on 30 July 2025, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed higher by 0.60% and settled at 8,756.40. Out of 11 sectors, 06 sectors ended higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Consumer Staples and A-REIT are the top-gaining sector, gaining 1.29% and 1.25% in their it’s value. On the other hand, Utilities and Information Technology are the top-losing sector, losing 0.79% and 0.36% in it’s value.

Polynovo Limited (ASX: PNV) and West African Resources Limited (ASX: WAF) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 7.755% and 3.913% in their stock prices. On the other hand, IGO Limited (ASX: IGO) and Emerald Resources NL (ASX: EMR) are the top-losing stocks, losing 7.200% and 6.250 in their stock prices.
