Ausmon Resources FY26 Report Highlights Rare Earths Growth and Exploration Expansion

Ausmon Resources FY26 Report Highlights Rare Earths Growth and Exploration Expansion Source: Kapitales Research

Highlights

  • Ausmon Resources advanced its rare earths exploration strategy across South Australia, with multiple prospective zones identified.
  • The company focused fieldwork on REEs while trimming its base metals and gold portfolio to priority licences.
  • Financial discipline remained a focus as Ausmon continued seeking funding options to support future exploration activities.

Rare Earths Exploration Drives FY26 Progress

Ausmon Resources Limited (ASX: AOA) released its FY26 Annual Report on 29 September 2026, outlining exploration progress across its portfolio of rare earth elements (REEs), base metals and gold projects. The company’s activities during the year focused primarily on REE exploration within South Australia’s Limestone Coast region, alongside base metal targets near Broken Hill and gold opportunities in New South Wales.

The company identified three prospective REE mineralised areas — Beelitz, Geranium and Jabuk — across its Parrakie, Peake and Wilkawatt tenements. These targets cover a combined area of approximately 122 square kilometres and have been prioritised for closer-spaced grid drilling to support future resource evaluation.

Drilling Confirms REE Potential

Ausmon’s South Australian REE portfolio includes four granted tenements — Parrakie, Peake, Wilkawatt and Wolseley — covering approximately 2,529 square kilometres within the Murray Basin. The projects are prospective for REEs hosted within Loxton and Parilla Sands.

Exploration programs between January 2024 and May 2025 included systematic aircore drilling across Parrakie, Peake and Wilkawatt. The results identified elevated REE mineralisation across multiple drill traverses, leading to the definition of the Beelitz LC01, Geranium LC02 and Jabuk LC03 target zones.

Follow-up drilling at Beelitz returned encouraging Total Rare Earth Oxide (TREO) results, including 2 metres at 631.3 ppm TREO and 2 metres at 631.0 ppm TREO from separate drill holes. These results supported plans for additional grid-based drilling programs.

Base Metals and Gold Portfolio Progress

At Broken Hill, Ausmon continued evaluating base metal opportunities across Enmore, Eureka, Mt Darling, Kanbarra and Stirling Vale. The company identified potential for zinc, lead, silver, cobalt and copper mineralisation, with Enmore retained as a priority exploration area. The company also let its Brungle Creek licence lapse in March 2026 to focus on the McAlpine gold project near Tumut, New South Wales, where further geochemical surveys are planned.

Financial Position and Outlook

Ausmon recorded a net loss of AU$719,767 for FY26, while cash and cash equivalents increased to AU$104,866 from AU$10,968 in FY25. Total assets reached AU$2.60 million, supported by exploration and evaluation expenditure across the company’s licences.

Ausmon continues to prioritise exploration activities, progress mineral resource evaluation, and identify additional opportunities that align with its long-term growth strategy. Future activities will depend on exploration success and securing appropriate funding through options including farm-outs, borrowings or equity capital.
