Highlights

  • Cycliq advanced its smart cycling safety ecosystem through platform upgrades, product integrations and technology investments.
  • The company strengthened its digital infrastructure with an upgraded e-commerce platform and Garmin integration.
  • AI development, inventory expansion and product innovation remain key priorities for FY27 growth.

Cycliq Strengthens Technology Platform in FY26

Cycliq Group Limited (ASX: CYQ) released its FY26 Annual Report on 21 September 2026, covering the financial year ended 30 June 2026. The company reported revenue of AU$3.79 million, compared with AU$4.78 million in FY25, while the net loss narrowed significantly to AU$85,897 from AU$515,264 in the previous year.

During FY26, Cycliq focused on strengthening its technology platform while implementing effective cost control measures to support future growth initiatives. Customer receipts totalled AU$3.92 million, compared with AU$4.8 million in FY25, reflecting softer demand across the cycling category. However, the company maintained a broadly neutral net operating cash flow position with a small outflow of AU$11,196; through careful expense control and ongoing investment in its platform capabilities.

Digital Platform Enhancements Support Customer Growth

A major milestone during FY26 was the launch of Cycliq’s upgraded Shopify e-commerce platform in August 2025. The new system replaced the previous 2017/18 platform and introduced dedicated US/Global, Australian and UK stores, enabling localised content, regional payment options and targeted campaigns across different markets.

In September 2025, Cycliq launched its CycliqPlus Garmin Edge integration, connecting its cycling cameras with Garmin cycling computers. The integration strengthened Cycliq’s position within the cycling technology ecosystem by improving product functionality and customer experience.

The company’s marketing initiatives also delivered strong engagement, with the Black Friday campaign generating AU$1.3 million in gross revenue. Cycliq’s owned social media channels generated 219.36 million impressions during the year, supporting brand awareness and customer engagement.

Product Innovation and AI Strategy Expand

Cycliq continues developing its UpRide platform, using its growing dataset of cycling incident submissions to explore artificial intelligence-based safety insights and new features. The platform had collected more than 18,000 curated cycling incident submissions, creating opportunities for future data-driven applications.

The company also received a AU$188,000 cash refund under the Federal Government’s Research and Development Tax Incentive Scheme, supporting ongoing innovation and product development activities.

Outlook

Following a AU$1.5 million placement announced on 15 September 2026, Cycliq plans to strengthen inventory levels ahead of the Cyber November sales period. The company aims to continue investing in AI initiatives, product development, partnerships with cycling safety organisations and potential acquisition opportunities.

With enhanced digital infrastructure, expanding technology capabilities and a growing cycling safety ecosystem, Cycliq remains focused on building long-term value through innovation and market expansion.
