BauMart Returns to Profitability in FY26

BauMart Holdings Limited (ASX: BMH) released its FY26 Preliminary Final Report on 31 August 2026, covering the financial year ended 30 June 2026. The company reported revenue from ordinary activities of AU$1.21 million, representing a significant increase from AU$35,218 in FY25. Profit after tax attributable to shareholders reached AU$258,108, compared with a loss of AU$1.01 million in the previous year.

The improved result reflected stronger business activity and progress across BauMart’s operating divisions. During FY26, the company continued strengthening its position in modular construction, integrated labour solutions, sustainable energy initiatives and construction-related product distribution.

Modular Construction Strategy Gains Momentum

BauMart increased its focus on developing its modular building initiative, identifying long-term opportunities within Australia’s construction sector. The company maintained a measured approach toward investment and development, prioritising disciplined capital deployment while progressing the initiative through its development stages.

The company’s integrated labour solutions division continued providing operational support, contributing to its broader diversification strategy. BauMart also continued exploring opportunities within prefabricated construction solutions, supported by its existing industrial and construction product distribution operations.

Revenue Growth Supported by Core Operations

Revenue growth was driven by increased sales activity, with sales from building materials contributing AU$680,000 and source and procurement supply generating AU$527,320 during FY26. Total sales revenue increased to AU$1.21 million, compared with AU$35,218 in FY25. 

The company also recorded AU$167,701 in other income, including an AU$162,699 Research & Development incentive received during the year.

Financial Position and Capital Management

BauMart reported total assets of AU$1.22 million at 30 June 2026, while net liabilities improved to AU$104,165 compared with AU$362,273 in FY25. The improvement was supported by the return to profitability and reduction in accumulated losses.

Operating cash flow turned to negative at AU$133,543, while financing activities generated net cash inflow of AU$40,826 during the year.

Outlook

BauMart remains focused on expanding its modular construction platform, strengthening labour solutions and identifying opportunities across construction-related markets. Management continues to prioritise financial discipline, careful capital allocation and operational growth as the company advances its strategic initiatives.
