Highlights

  • Ovanti reported a challenging FY26 with lower revenue and a higher statutory loss amid increased operating expenses and strategic investments.
  • The company raised about AU$16 million in new equity during the year to fund operations and its technology initiatives.
  • Ovanti completed a 20-to-1 share consolidation in April 2026 and impaired its BNPL licence in full.

FY26 Financial Performance Reflects Transition Period

Ovanti Limited (ASX: OVT) released its FY26 Preliminary Final Report on 31 August 2026, covering the financial year ended 30 June 2026. The company reported revenue from ordinary activities of AU$2.34 million, representing a decline of 60.3% compared with the prior year. The statutory loss attributable to owners increased 149.9% to AU$23.94 million, compared with a loss of AU$9.58 million in FY25. The company recorded no dividend payments, recommendations or declarations during FY26.

Higher Costs Impact Bottom-Line Performance

Ovanti’s loss reflected increased expenditure across several areas, including compliance and professional fees, product development activities and asset impairments. Compliance and professional expenses totalled AU$8.66 million, while product development expenditure reached AU$5.98 million during the year. The company also recognised a AU$2.21 million impairment of intangible assets and a AU$1.16 million impairment related to its investment in an associate.

The company’s loss from continuing operations stood at AU$20.08 million, while discontinued operations contributed an additional loss of AU$3.86 million.

Balance Sheet and Capital Position

At 30 June 2026, Ovanti reported total assets of AU$16.02 million and net assets of AU$13.17 million. Cash and cash equivalents declined to AU$292,530, compared with AU$4.95 million in the previous year.

During FY26, the company raised about AU$16 million in net proceeds through share issues. Issued capital increased to AU$119.53 million from AU$103.53 million, although total equity declined to AU$13.17 million from AU$19.84 million as the year's losses outweighed the new capital.

Business Developments and Outlook

Ovanti’s mobile services business generated AU$2.34 million in revenue during FY26, with operations primarily recorded in Malaysia. The company recognised AU$1.44 million in income from its equity-accounted associate during FY26.

The company continued focusing on integrating and developing its existing businesses while maintaining capital discipline. Management’s future progress will depend on improving operational performance, managing liquidity requirements and successfully executing its strategic initiatives.
