FIN Resources Targets New Gold Discoveries at Cabin Lake

FIN Resources Limited (ASX: FIN) has commenced a fully funded summer diamond drilling program at its 100%-owned Cabin Lake Gold Project in Canada’s Northwest Territories. The campaign comprises 15 planned drillholes across 14 priority exploration targets, including ten targets identified through induced polarisation surveys and four through detailed magnetic interpretation. The program builds on encouraging previous drilling, which returned 26.1 metres at 12.0 g/t gold and 7.8 metres at 18.2 g/t gold.
The targets were developed by combining recent geophysical surveys with historical exploration data, drilling results and FIN’s evolving geological model. Several anomalies occur near the prospective Bugow Iron Formation and could indicate sulphide concentrations associated with gold mineralisation, although drilling is required for confirmation.FIN plans to progressively process and sample drill core for laboratory gold analysis while refining the drilling sequence based on geological observations.
