OD6 Metals Shares in Focus Following Funding Announcement

OD6 Metals Limited (ASX: OD6) announced on 12 October 2026 that it had successfully completed an AU$6.92 million placement before costs. The company had received the funds and issued the new shares, strengthening its financial position as it prepares to advance its critical minerals strategy. OD6 shares traded at a current market price (CMP) of AU$0.093, marking a decline of approximately 1.063%.

The placement involved the issue of approximately 72.84 million new fully paid ordinary shares at AU$0.095 per share. The capital raising attracted support from a range of investors, including global institutional investors, family offices, and sophisticated and professional investors.

The placement gives OD6 Metals additional financial capacity to advance its three core projects: Quinn Fluorspar in Nevada, USA; Splinter Rock Rare Earths in Western Australia; and Gulf Creek Copper-Zinc in New South Wales. The newly raised capital is expected to fund exploration activities, advance technical studies across these projects and cover the company's general operating expenses.

Quinn Fluorspar Project Emerges as a Key Focus for OD6 Metals

A key priority for OD6 Metals is advancing its Quinn Fluorspar Project in Nevada. The company plans to use the placement proceeds to support maiden drilling and bulk sampling programs, subject to receiving the necessary approvals.

Additional planned work includes metallurgical test work, assaying, geological modelling, resource definition and ongoing permitting activities. These programs are intended to improve the company's understanding of the project's mineralization and support progress towards an initial Mineral Resource Estimate.

Fluorspar is recognized as a critical mineral in the United States and is used in several important industrial applications, including semiconductor manufacturing, energy technologies and defense-related supply chains. The proposed work at Quinn represents a central component of OD6 Metals' strategy to advance its portfolio of strategically important minerals. However, the timing and outcomes of planned activities will depend on regulatory approvals, exploration results and technical assessments.

OD6 Metals Continues Progress Across Splinter Rock and Gulf Creek Projects

OD6 Metals is continuing metallurgical testing at its Splinter Rock Rare Earth Project in Western Australia to refine the proposed processing flowsheet and evaluate potential development pathways.

The company is undertaking an extensive metallurgical programme with the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organization (ANSTO), with further test work results expected as it evaluates and refines its proposed processing flowsheet.

The project aims to produce a Mixed Rare Earth Carbonate or Hydroxide product containing strategically important magnet rare earth elements, including neodymium and praseodymium.

Meanwhile, the Gulf Creek Copper-Zinc Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide Project in New South Wales remains another component of the company's exploration portfolio. The area has a history of high-grade copper mining, and recent exploration has identified opportunities for additional discoveries. Together, the three projects provide the foundation for OD6 Metals' broader critical minerals strategy.

Management Highlights Upcoming Project Milestones

Managing Director Brett Hazelden stated that the completed placement leaves OD6 Metals in a strong financial position as it enters an important period for the business.

Management's immediate focus is on progressing Quinn through permitting and towards maiden drilling and bulk sampling. At Splinter Rock, ongoing metallurgical work is expected to help refine processing options and assess the project's development pathway.

The company also identified further exploration and technical work across its broader portfolio as part of its upcoming programme.

Outlook

The AU$6.92 million placement provides OD6 Metals with additional financial resources to pursue its stated exploration and development priorities. Near-term activities include advancing Quinn towards drilling and bulk sampling, continuing metallurgical studies at Splinter Rock, and progressing exploration at Gulf Creek.

Investors may monitor updates on project approvals, drilling programs, metallurgical results and resource definition work. While the completed capital raising strengthens the company's funding position, future project outcomes remain subject to exploration success, technical findings, regulatory approvals and other uncertainties associated with mineral development.
