Alicanto Completes Mt Henry Acquisition, Unlocking Large-Scale Gold Growth in Western Australia
Alicanto Minerals Limited (ASX: AQI) has completed the acquisition of the Mt Henry Gold Project in Western Australia, securing a substantial 915,000 ounce gold resource positioned along a highly prospective 16 kilometre mineralised corridor. Completion followed satisfaction of all regulatory, shareholder and Native Title approvals, allowing the Company to move directly into execution. Mt Henry represents a large, under-explored gold system, with most historical drilling limited to shallow depths and mineralisation remaining open both along strike and down dip. Alicanto is now planning a well-funded 50,000 metre drilling program aimed at expanding resources and testing priority targets across the broader corridor. The transaction also introduces Westgold Resources as a strategic 19.9% shareholder, providing strong alignment as development activities commence. With granted mining leases and access to established infrastructure, Alicanto is positioned to apply its brownfields exploration expertise to accelerate value creation at Mt Henry.
