Ardea Receives Indicative Government Support for Goongarrie Hub Financing
Ardea Resources Limited (ASX: ARL) has advised that its joint venture vehicle, Kalgoorlie Nickel Pty Ltd, has received conditional and non-binding indications of support from Export Finance Australia and the Export-Import Bank of the United States in relation to potential funding for the Goongarrie Hub nickel-cobalt project in Western Australia. The two agencies have provided coordinated expressions of interest that, together, indicate potential aggregate support of up to approximately AU$1 billion, subject to further assessment and conditions. Export Finance Australia has outlined potential support of up to AU$500 million, while U.S. EXIM has signalled interest in funding of up to US$350 million. The indicative support reflects the project’s relevance to critical mineral supply chains linked to batteries, energy storage, and electric vehicle markets, and follows collaboration between the agencies under a streamlined critical minerals referral framework.
