Askari Metals Secures AU$1.15 million to Accelerate Maiden Drilling at Nejo Copper-Gold Project.
Askari Metals Limited (ASX: AS2) has secured firm commitments to raise AU$1.15 million through a placement at AU$0.01 per share, attracting strong support from existing and new sophisticated investors. The placement includes director participation, with Martin Holland investing AU$100,000 and Tim Morrison contributing AU$50,000. Subject to shareholder approval, participants will also receive free-attaching options. The funds will support the Company’s maiden 3,000–5,000m drilling campaign at the high-priority Guji, Komto 1 and Komto 2 targets within the Nejo Copper-Gold Project in Ethiopia.
Proceeds will also advance Askari’s broader African exploration strategy across Ethiopia and Namibia, including renewed work at the Uis Project targeting tin, tantalum, rubidium and lithium. With approximately AU$3.2 million in available cash and assets held for sale, Askari is well positioned to progress systematic drilling, regional geophysical surveys and expanded exploration across its extensive 1,200 km² landholding on the Arabian-Nubian Shield.
