Barkly Rare Earths Sends First Drill Samples for Resource Expansion Programme

Barkly Rare Earths Limited (ASX: BAK) advanced its exploration activities by submitting the first batch of samples from its 10,000-metre Phase 1 drilling programme at the Barkly Project to ALS Geochemistry in Brisbane for laboratory analysis. The campaign is focused on expanding the company’s existing inferred rare earth resource, which remains open in all directions, while refining drilling procedures to improve operational efficiency.

The laboratory will conduct detailed geochemical testing using industry-standard analytical methods to assess the collected samples. Management stated that additional sample batches are expected as drilling progresses, with the programme designed to support a potential mineral resource update later in 2026. The exploration campaign also includes metallurgical studies, ongoing drilling results, and follow-up work at the Buntine Project, highlighting the company’s strategy to strengthen its rare earth resource base and generate further exploration value.
