Can Strata Minerals 94% Drilling Hit Rate Unlock the Full Potential of the Zelica Gold Project?
Strata Minerals Limited (ASX: SMX) has announced final assay results from its completed Phase 2 reverse circulation drilling program at the Zelica Gold Project in Western Australia, with 16 of 17 extensional drill holes intersecting significant gold mineralisation, delivering an impressive 94% hit rate. The results continue to strengthen confidence in Zelica as a rapidly expanding shallow high-grade gold system. The standout intercept was 2m at 7.58g/t Au within a broader 12m at 2.08g/t Au from 99m, representing the highest-grade and widest intersection returned during the Phase 2 campaign. Additional results, including 11m at 1.25g/t Au and 5m at 1.84g/t Au, further confirmed strong continuity across the system. The drilling program also identified additional hanging-wall lodes, supporting the emergence of a broader multi-lode mineralised structure. With mineralisation remaining open in all directions and only a small portion of the interpreted 9.5km prospective gold corridor tested, Strata is advancing resource definition activities while preparing follow-up drilling to expand the known gold system and evaluate district-scale exploration opportunities.
