High-Tech Metals Confirms Strong Gold Recoveries at Wagtail Deposit
High-Tech Metals Ltd (ASX: HTM) has reported encouraging metallurgical test results from its Wagtail Gold Deposit within the Mt Fisher Gold Project in Western Australia. Test work confirmed that the deposit contains free-milling, non-refractory gold mineralisation, suitable for conventional gravity and cyanide processing methods. Gold recoveries reached up to 97.2%, with overall extraction rates as high as 98.7%, while maintaining low reagent consumption and rapid leach kinetics. The results also demonstrated strong recoveries at coarser grind sizes, indicating potential for lower processing costs and improved plant throughput.
Approximately 45% of the gold was recoverable through gravity concentration before cyanidation. In parallel, the Company’s ongoing 5,000-metre reverse circulation drilling program at Mt Fisher has completed 3,068 metres across 17 holes, with assay results expected in the coming weeks. High-Tech Metals and SSH Mining continue advancing mining, toll-treatment, resource update, and development studies, with an updated Wagtail Mineral Resource Estimate anticipated in mid-June 2026.
