Canyon Resources Progresses Minim Martap with Key Milestones in Infrastructure and Logistics

Canyon Resources Limited (ASX: CAY) has provided a development update for the Minim Martap Bauxite Project in Cameroon, marking several key milestones. The surface miner is scheduled for commissioning in February 2026, a major step in the project’s transition into full-scale production. Haul road upgrades remain on track, ensuring the first ore haulage from the Danielle Plateau to the Inland Rail Facility (IRF) will occur in Q2 2026. Delays in the locomotive fleet delivery due to component issues and the Chinese New Year holiday have been confirmed, with two locomotives now expected to arrive in late Q2 2026, and the remaining units by Q3 2026. The port access dredging is scheduled to commence in late Q1 2026, with the maiden bauxite trial shipment now rescheduled for Q3 2026, supporting full-scale shipments in Q4 2026.
